The lives of four unique Elvis Impersonators intertwine in this inspiring story of passion and hardship. From small-town America to the bright lights of Vegas, this film highlights their unique lives and their undying love for Elvis Presley.

What started as a mockumentary, turned into a documentary for first-time feature film directors Shane Stuart and Andrew Lankes. The two traveled to Memphis portraying Elvis fanatics on a mission to prove Elvis Presley had faked his death. In Memphis they were met with skepticism by some fans in the Elvis Presley world. Then something happened. Shane and Andrew were moved by the pure hearts and deep devotion of those impersonators who would become the focus of their film. Mark and Danny, Little E, and Elvis Priestly reveal their passion and dedication and share their inspiring stories in Heart of the King. The filmmakers, along with legendary celebrity impersonation producer John Stuart, traveled across the US to film these unique individuals who turn to Elvis Presley for guidance. The documentary's featured players go on the ride of their lives, and share their passion for the man known as "the King".

Shane Stuart

Shane Stuart grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is the son of John Stuart, producer of Legends in Concert, the longest running celebrity impersonation show in Las Vegas. In 2003, Shane moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. He attended the Lee Strasberg Institute for two years. He then produced and acted in the independent feature film Self Medicated, which won more festival awards than any other film in 2006. That production experience motivated Shane to make his own film, the documentary feature Heart of the King. The film is Shane's directorial debut, and the debut of production company Lunch Box Films.
