Rokumentti is a new rock film festival held in Joensuu at the Movie Centre Tapio from 11th to 13th November 2005.

Rokumentti film festival brings the most interesting rock movie classics and combinations of pop-music culture and moving picture to Joensuu. There is a call for this kind of event because both Joensuu and Northern-Karelia are known for music and film making.

This year the festival theme is Finnish rock-DVD. Rock DVD has rapidly grown into a huge part of the music industry. Has the new way of combining music, live picture and multi-media brought something new to the artistic process? Has it changed the way how the music is being marketed? The Rokumentti seminar brings together industry's veterans and some of the names who have currently an influence in the industry.

The first Rokumentti festival approaches the subjects widely and tries to avoid labelling and categorising. The films that are selected to the festival need to have well connected to the rock music industry, musicians or pop culture in general.

Rokumentti 2005 is orcanised in cooperation with DEK (Digitaalisen elokuvateatterikeskuksen kehittämishanke, Project for Developing Digital Movie Centre) and Joensuun Popmuusikot ry (Joensuu Pop Musicians Association).
