Purchasing Festival Tickets

FESTIVAL BOOKLETS
The festival ticket book gives access to four or eight Rokumentti screenings of choice. Ticket books must be exchanged for individual screening tickets. Tickets can be exchanged at the Cinema Tapio box office or through the web store. Festival ticket books can be exchanged for screening tickets from the start of ticket sales and throughout the festival.
Early-bird booklets can only be exchanged for individual screening tickets once the tickets are on sale.
We recommend booking your seats early as we are expecting many screenings to sell out! It is not possible to reserve screening tickets.
DISCOUNTS
Students and senior citizens receive a discount on single screening tickets (not valid for festival booklets). The discount is for personal use only and available both online and at Tapio’s box office. Please show a valid student or pensioner card when purchasing and upon entry to screening.
Members of Joensuun Popmuusikot ry (Joensuu's Pop Musicians Association) get discounted Rokumentti ticket booklets:
4-ticket booklet for members: 34 €
8-ticket booklet for members: 64 €
Member discount ticket booklets are available only at Tapio’s box office on Rokumentti-week 9.11.-15.11.2026. Discount is for personal use only – please mention it before payment. The discount is granted according to the current membership list.
Screening Venues
The screenings take place in Cinema Tapio, Joensuu. Any additional venues will be announced together with the programme releases.
Accessibility
All screening rooms in Tapio feature wheelchair spaces and induction loops in every auditorium/screen. Tapio has accessible entry, and moving inside the cinema center is also fully accessible. The facilities include an accessible toilet, and the Toilet Pass (Vessapassi) is accepted. You can find more information on the Savon Kinot website.
Safer space guidelines
Rokumentti belongs to each and every single one of us. There is no place for any kind of harassment or inappropriate behavior.
Respect others
Respect the physical and mental integrity of every festival goer, as well as their autonomy. Remember that no always means no – respect the boundaries set by others. Treat other people’s belongings and the surrounding nature with respect as well.
Don’t assume
Don’t make any assumptions about other people. Embrace everyone with an open, non-judgmental attitude and allow everyone the space to be their most authentic selves.
Ask for consent
Don’t touch others without their permission – including any assistive devices. Ask for consent before entering someone else’s physical space. Remember that consent must always be mutual.
Treat others with kindness
Don’t criticize, mock, discriminate against, or embarrass anyone with your words or actions – not even as a joke. Treat everyone and everything around you with kindness, warmth and respect. Give room for others in conversations. You can disagree, but always treat others with respect.
Stand up for others
We are all responsible for creating the atmosphere of summer’s best weekend. Remember that your actions also affect other festival goers. Intervene in inappropriate behavior and stand up for both yourself and others.
Listen and take responsibility
If you receive any feedback about your actions, receive and be open to it. Apologize if you have unintentionally or intentionally hurt other individuals or their property with your words or actions.
If you feel unsafe at the festival, always turn to the nearest staff member.
If you experience or witness any incidents of harassment at the festival, always turn to the nearest staff member.
About Rokumentti
Rokumentti Rock Film Festival, held in Joensuu, is the largest Nordic film festival dedicated to music documentaries and films. The five-day festival lights up the dark mid-November with a diverse and thought-provoking programme.
Rokumentti showcases the latest films on popular culture, new Finnish productions, as well as lovable classics. The music film selection is complemented by some of the year’s most significant and debated films - many of which would otherwise never be seen on the big screen in here.
Each year Rokumentti hosts filmmakers who present their work and share the stories behind the films, along with experts who engage audiences in discussions on movie themes.
Rokumentti also comes alive throughout downtown Joensuu, as numerous cafés, local businesses, and cultural venues enrich the festival week with their own events.
