Janne Laurila is a singer-songwriter from Tampere. He released his solo album Kultaisia pisteitä in 2009. Laurila is also known for his bands Office Building and Laurila. He's also an eager fan of the ice hockey team Oulun Kärpät. Janne Laurila's numerous performances, both alone and with a band, have molded him into one charismatic entertainer.

Black Motor is well-known for its free improvisation that is based on their own compositions. The jazz trio hails from Tampere, Finland. All its members are experts in both Afro-American roots music and different types of musical counter-cultures. Through their recordings and intensive live performances the band has gained reputation as a strong and free group who nevertheless do not shun rhythmic groove. Björkenheim's guitar playing is influenced by John Coltrane's ecstatic style and also by Jimi Hendrix' rootsy psychedelia. For the members of both Jazzclub-76 and Joensuu Pop Musicians' Association the tickets are 10€. The tickets for students are only 6€.

Tavastian Lauantaidisko begun in September 2009 in Helsinki at club Tavastia. Every saturday, after the band, Djs play dancable indie/pop/rock, from the best classics to the newest hits. Rokumentin torstaidisco brings the Tavastia's atmosphere to Kerubi by bringing two of the original DJs from behind the decks of Tavastian Lauantaidisko.

Thursday's act is a true heavy weighter. One of Canada's biggest rock bands, Danko Jones, plays at Kerubi's Sali. The rock trio will provide a proper show and you are definitely going to be entertained as the band is renowned for their energetic live performances. Danko Jones' gigs are always spiced up with their own quirky sense of humour, too. Thursday's Rokumentti Club is all about rock 'n' roll!

Ghetto Styles club bounds together the hip hop and Jamaican moods from the Rokumentti film listings. Friday's opening act is Pyhimys, whose new album Medium has been met with a good reception. He performs together with Heikki Kuula, who is his companion from Teflon Brothers. The second and final live act of the night is the much hyped Gracias from Helsinki. His debut EP came out this summer and since then he has gone from victory to victory. The high quality songs anchored in hip hop traditions have reminded us that Finland can be a home to good hip hop in English. Go and check out the music video "Mon€y" if you are not already convinced. Pouta Sound will make you dance the night away with the hottest reggae disco in town. Word!

Hula Pirates Cabaret is a burlesque troupe that mix neo-burlesque, classic burlesque and drag in their performance. The members of the group Bettie Blackheart, Bent Van Der Bleu, Frank Doggenstein, Kiki Hawaiji and Lola Vanilla are all solo performers in their own right. They are the forerunners of Finnish burlesque, not just in Finland, but also abroad.

Hula Pirates seduce you, make you go wild and entertain you in their own surprising way! Bent van Der Bleu – the decadent of burlesque – seduces the audience without thinking twice! Hellsinki Hellcat Bettie Blackheart fires the audience up with her fiery tassels! Hellsinki Hotdog Frank Doggenstein is the godfather of Manlesque. Under his tough exterior beats a warm heart! The Tropical Whirlwind Kiki Hawaiji amazes with her exotic energy! The honey-dripping Lola Vanilla sweeps away even the sturdiest of spectators!

Almost without anyone realizing it, Happoradio has actually become a massive success. But it all makes sense, if you think about it – the band has been putting out a hit after a hit for ten years now. In October Happoradio will release their first compilation album Jälkiä 2001-2011 and the first single from the album Rakkaus is constantly playing on the radio. We can promise you that when Happoradio is on stage, you won't be able to stand still.

The hugely popular Saturday Disco will take influence from Rokumentti's this year's theme and go Black Magic. Saturday is going to be all about Afro-American dance music: disco, funk, soul, reggae and hip hop. Plus there will be cool visuals too! Our guests from Rovaniemi - Rollomatik DJs and Joensuu's very own DJ Kiilo are responsible for the Black Magic sounds, while VJ Visuale, also from Rovaniemi, takes care of the brilliant visuals.
