God Bless Ozzy Osbourne (UK, USA, 2011)
94 min. - English
Age limit 12 years

Ozzy Osbourne, the original singer of Black Sabbath, is mostly notorious for the stunts he has pulled over the years. However, he is also without a question one of the best known singers in the history of rock music. His real life has been overshadowed by the legendary tales of his life. And there are plenty of those to go around!

In this film, directed by Mike Fleiss and Mike Piscitelli, the center stage is given to the substance abuse problem that has plagued Ozzy through most of his career. With the help of Ozzy's son Jack Osbourne, who is also one of the producers of the film, the directors were able to get very close to the family’s everyday life. In the film we, for instance, learn the truth about the reality TV series The Osbournes, and how during the filming Ozzy was so messed up that he came off more as a zombie than a human being.

God Bless Ozzy Osbourne hands the microphone to colleagues, such as Sir Paul McCartney and Tommy Lee, and family members - not forgetting Ozzy himself. He turns out to be a splendid interviewee, who does not spare or pity himself. Despite the dark years and great successes, Ozzy remains the Dreamer, dreaming of better days.
