Nevertheless, the singer is dissatisfied with his life. The role of a glam rock star and the official face of bisexuality in Sweden are becoming too straining. Ola Svensson wants to take off the tight glitter costume of rock star Ola Salo. It�€�s time for a new role. It�€�s time to become Jesus.

Directed by Stefan Berg, the documentary Ola Svensson Superstar portrays the life of the lead singer of The Ark. Over the two years of filming, Berg reached the Swedish superstar during the biggest identity crisis of his career. Ola Salo feels trapped by his public image and wants to try something different. He agrees to play the leading part in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, lets his beard grow and throws himself into a new phase in his life. But what happens when the last performance is over and he has to descend the crucifix? Unlike Jesus, the singer isn�€�t ready to die for his audience. Ola doesn�€�t want to be neither Ola Salo nor Ola Jesus anymore. Would it finally be the time for Ola Svensson?
